I briefly chatted with Washington, DC’s own District about his inspiration for his first single “I Am the District”, “My inspiration for this song was kind of a breakout song as an artist expressing myself. I normally allow people to see one side of me. I can truly say I represent the NW quadrant of DC to the fullest.”
As far as the DC artistic scene blossoming, the District says, “The whole D.M.V is changing right before our eyes. Right now, I’m lining up where and when I’ll be performing if anyone is interested check my Facebook and Myspace pages.”
