I am not a Beyonce Hater…not at all…not in the least so all I’m going to say is, Beyonce is really paying homage to Betty Page in her latest video Video Phone (remix).
All who enjoyed the video had this to say:
—HOTTEST VIDEO OUT RIGHT NOW. BEY HAS A BODY NO ONE CAN DENY THAT. SHE WAS SO HOOD IN THIS VIDEO I LOVED IT
—There is no scientific evidence that supports the idea that you can brainwash and control people’s minds by quickly flashing images and with strobe lighting. That’s a myth. Look it up.
2. As a Christian I don’t think it’s fair that people are calling Beyonce a devil follower. I will say that I am disgusted by the hyper-sexuality of the video. But let’s remember that we should not judge others if our own hands aren’t clean. I know she has sins, like me and all of you. But it’s not fair to go in on her like that with no proof. That doesn’t make you any better.

—I love how beyonce so wack but she sold 5 million album with no feature artist. I love how she so wack that she is the leading contender right now for artist of the decade. I love how she is so wack that she is selling out arenas across the world. I love how she is wack but won the biggest awards in almost every award show this year. At one time, when a woman was sensual and explicit with her sexuality it was provocative. But now, it seems like everyone is dang near naked and quick to flash their breasts and private parts. There is nothing wrong with being sensual, but you cheapen the body when you are so quick to put it out there like that. I’m very disappointed in Beyonce. I really used to look up to her. I have been a Beyonce fan from day 1 up until now, she has not wore any clothing since she’s been married, she dances like a stripper and it’s been brought to light she’s not educated at all.
I’m cool I will stick with the singers who have some class like Tamia or something.
MYA can come and put her right out of bizzness, she already had her man, she’s prettier and she has way more class than Beyonce. But Mya knows when shaking her @$$ is too much unlike BEYONCE.

Why are people calling it hating? I also don’t like Marilyn Manson’s music or image. Am I hating on him as well? If I don’t like Dominoes Pizza, am I hating on that as well? It’s absurd to say that someone is hating when they don’t like something.
This is what I’m saying. If the image that Beyonce is putting out there in this video was the same image she had when she first came out, she wouldn’t be as big as she is. She wouldn’t have the endorsements that she has. There is no way L’Oreal would link this image to their brand.

I think it’s sad that Beyonce has fallen into the trap of using sexuality to win fans when she already had us with her voice and lyrics! What Beyonce and others like her don’t realize is that little girls imitate them from the hairstyle, walk and dance moves (grinding, humping and shaking), but then we all wonder why these little girls act older than their years and grown men lust after them. I really wish she would have kept it classy. I’m so over Beyonce right now!
I think I might have to get an iPhone 3GS cause that video made me wanna record my lady on a videophone. I do you one better and film it in HD. Man, I loved it. That video was a lot better than the last and you can definitely see the Betty Page influence in this video. It was awesome.
Oh sorry, I didn’t answer the question. The older Bey’s becoming, the more ILL-DEFINED she is. Meaning, she’s starting to sound and act just like the rest of these cookie-cutter, female artists and it’s sad! As much as folks hated on him in the beginning, when Matthew Knowles was in charge, there was a clear vision on how she was marketed. Probably because he’s her father and refused to allow his little girl to become another sex toy/symbol. Go figure!
The older she’s becoming, the more amazing she is. I was never a real Bey fan, but I must say this album took the cake for me. It was more diverse than any of her others and she has sort of put this fire into her performances that makes me want to see more.
hatter atractor – flawless – business woman – working well with others – learning how to shake them off – wealthier (Just to name a few) I love the fact that she is everywhere – what people dont know is that Beyonce is a Brand – not a name!
Beyonce will go down as the greatest artist of our generation. I like the video, wasn’t groundbreaking or anything, but I like it alot. The camera head dudes were really creative. I don’t think we should take it so seriously, it’s entertainment!!! Beyonce is not trying to raise your kids with a music video, that’s your job. And someone mentioned she isn’t educated, who cares?!?! Education is not an end in itself, it’s a means to an end. The most successful people in the world educate themselves. Go Beyonce, keep doing you!!!!
I really can’t comment, but I’ll still give two cents worth. Since the days of 2 Live Crew’s “Me So Horny”, Hammer and Oaktown 3 5 7 (yeah, I’m old), video’s haven’t represented a lot of entertainment value to me. There’s a saying that “you don’t get your honey where you get your money,” well, I guess that I “don’t want my sex-entertainment provider to be the same place I get my music!” If I’ma look at T&A, I’d rather they be the not-so-famous “vixens” in a raw rap video on Dailymotion! LOL
Bey’s voice can’t do it (for me) either. I’ve been proud of her accomplishments, especially without appearing in Playboy or Hustler (yet – sorry, I believe that if YOU believe in your talent, you don’t have to show your stuff).
She can be every fantasy to some folks. She’ll make more money. But for me, it’s 1/2 Beyonce song a week or I’ll throw up. Yet, I can listen to Lauren Hill or Sade sing all day.
