Has Kanye Ended his Career?

Kanye West has outdone himself by disrespecting a popular country Princess Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV award show. To illustrate what took place, Kanye took the microphone from Taylor Swift as she was attempting to recite her acceptance speech for winning a MTV music award. He screamed “Beyonce had the best video of all time” then gave Swift the microphone back. As Swift attempted to continue her speech, the microphone was mute and the camera was focused on a skit by Tracey Morgan.
Swift is a currently twitter trending topic and leading in a Swift vs Kanye poll by 92%. As of 5:45 EDT 3100 people voted. The LA Times blogged about the incident and have about 219 comments. There are tweets suggesting he should not be allowed to write or attend award ceremonies.
Country fans are perturbed so please don’t go to work laughing about Kanye’s boldness. His bitch-fit may have set race relations back two steps.

Kanye is a jerk and needs to be humbled…I pray that people stop supporting his insensitive a$$.
Yeah, I think he went too far this time around. Maybe the Hennessy made him do it…
Def. 2 steps back

OMG! I knew this was coming.
I was hoping this was a poorly excuted publicity stunt! Kanye has really outdone himself this time. A little arrogance is fine, but moderation is the key. As far as the N word…I feel people are always going to use it in our face or behind our backs, times like these just brings it out! Racism won’t go away until we are all one race!!!!
Kanye has become a master at stealing the show. Poor taste, shouldn’t have done it, but guess who’ll be watching to see him on Jay Leno tonight???? A-E-body! Entertainers should be more humble, however those who are often lose the battle of exposure on tabloid sites and tv. He’s still young, maybe a little stuck on himself. Hope he has the strength to weather upcoming storms.
Let’s focus on the positive, how Beyonce made it right(er)!
I wonder if Kanye properly healed from his mother’s death. He seems to be having a breakdown of some sort. Poor Guy
Healing’s a long process. It might be contributing to his feelings of being invincible, but I think fame, fortune and his youth are major contributors to his ego right now. I can understand, but it doesn’t excuse acting an ass or being disrespectful to peers (or anybody!)
I think Kanye is human. Humanity is a life long development, trials and tribulations ect… Give someone a chance, do not hold them to their last action. Look at a person as yourself and remember that you are not perfect either. You mistakes. You talk reckless. You have caused someone pain. No one regardless of what level of success should be ridiculed to harshly as if he is above human error. We all have used poor judgement at one point or another. The man has apologized with sincerity. It is not an easy thing for a man to apologize. Forgive him just as you would want someone to forgive you. Its not even your battle- why yal acting like he snatched the trophy outta your hands and threw it YOUR face. If anything he helped Taylor Swifts career. I didn’t even know who that was. If the camera was on you what would the world think of you. What would the world say about your behavior on a day to day basis. He probably does have some issues. But don’t we all. I drink every damn night. Every night. This is not right. And I keep saying Imma stop but still make it to the liquor store after work to get another bottle of wine to crush. Alcholosim runs deep in my family. Im an adult with a sound mind and decent head on my shoulders but I feel like I need help unwinding after long stressful days. What would America say about me if I got caught in one of my moments. HES HUMAN. Leave him alone. Look in the mirror and deal with your stuff.
I just saw the Leno footage he’s terrified. I feel bad for him.
( Maybe he could produce a couple of tracks for her…
)
Ok about Mr. Kanye…I’m on the fence with him, because I love people that are not scared to voice their opinion…However I despise people who have no respect for the next man, especially when you are working toward the same goal…Let’s be honest Beyonce is the sh@#, I’m not taking away from her but she wasn’t on her A game this year. Me being a person who appreciated all genres (hope thats spelled right) actually like’s Taylor Swift, so when they announced her I stood up and clapped.. Maybe he should have left his opinions for the blogs. The poor girl was just ambushed and you can tell she wouldn’t hurt a fly, bet he wouldn’t jumped up there if it was Mary or Alisha Keys cause he know….I’m also a firm believer in second chances, we all fu@# up including I, and yes I have said and done many of things that I wish to God I can take back…
Dealing with the death of a parent is tough for anybody, but when the world is watching you, its becomes even harder. Many people become self-destructive when you no longer have the person that held you down for so long and Kanye is hurting badly. Unfortunately, the whole world is watching and ridiculing.
No one is the sum of their mistakes and none of us wants to be judged solely on our mistakes, nor should we judge others. But…. Kanye needs to be put in his place and since his mom is no longer here to do it, the public has taken on that role. How many of you can say you would be able to handle the pressure of the entire world scrutinizing your every (bad) move. I do feel bad for Taylor Swift’s very embarrasing moment, but she will be just fine. Kanye is an altogether different story. Check out the moment on Jay Leno when he began crying at the thought of how embarrassed his mom would be if she were here to tell how she felt about his action.
Kanye is like R. Kelly. They are only relevant because of their talents. Neither has anything else of use to the modern world. Some people say “yeah he hurt her feelings get over it” but this is a little girl and a grown man. Somebody shoud have went up there and smacked the SHIT out of him. Not only was it disrespectful but it was devastating to this woman. You could see it on her face. She probably looked up to Kanye and all he did was SHIT on her moment of SHINE. Fuck KANYE!!!
Kanye’s over… and I’m glad. Because I consider this jackass to be at the opposite end of the spectrum to a ground breaker like Obama… Kanye’s on the lower end, holding a f**king Hennesy bottle like an idiot in front of the whole
world.
And we wonder why they call us monkies.
I think this will actually make his star shine brighter. This is what he’ll do… He’ll make a song with an awesome beat and speak on the subject in an honest and heartfelt way and we’ll all love him again. I saw him on Jay Leno and he was so genuinely sorry and I felt his pain. We all wonder what he’ll do next. He has plenty of material to write about now. I can think of a million ways he can flip this into song. Dude got into a car accident that almost took his life, he lost his mom and girlfriend in the same year, he’ll make it through this just fine…
I ain’t no monkey! LOL
In recent years, it seems as though the ‘Merican public has gotten its finger stuck up it’s butt over entertainers and their wealth – we want to remove it if they don’t walk a fine line. Whatever happened to mistakes? I know he acted like an ass, but he’s a young man. Compare Kanye to some of your like-aged friends and relatives, give them millions of dollars, access to the most prestigious venues, thousands of legs (or lips, it’s up to you) to get between, and guess how they’ll react! Some would lose their friggin’ minds! Then drop in the loss of a mother, who was so instrumental and protective.
We (maybe not “us”) are ready to kick Mike Vick out of the NFL for good, stop Serena Williams from playing tennis, stop Kanye from making his money – yet we ain’t doin (and didn’t do) a damn thing when Bush, Rumsfeld, Chaney, and the rest was fukin all of us – but they’re not entertainers – they hurt everyday people. Did OJ start this shit? Wait a minute, did anything ever happen to the Jerry Seinfeld guy or Andy (whatever his name was) for calling Black folks “niggers”? Sorry, old wound.

As far as Kanye, I’m over being mad. My favorite gossip site is reporting that he is seeking comfort from his old girlfriend Alexis. I loved them together so I’m happy. :O)
